Now that you understand how to set SMART goals. Follow these steps to create a vision board. Be sure you share it with your mentor to receive your SCAPS points. Here’s a fun and easy guide for you to create your very own vision board. This will be like making a treasure map to your dreams! What You Need: – Paper or poster board – Magazines (ask for old ones you can cut up) – Markers or crayons – Glue stick or tape – Scissors (ask an adult for help if needed) – Your imagination! Step 1: Dream Big! Think about what you wish to achieve or do. It can be anything from reading 10 books, getting better at soccer, learning to play a musical instrument, to being kinder to your siblings. Step 2: Find Your Pictures Look through magazines or print pictures from the internet (with permission). Find images that match your dreams and goals. If you want to read more books, you might look for pictures of books. If you want to improve in soccer, find pictures of soccer balls or players. Step 3: Words That Inspire You Also, look for words or phrases in the magazines that make you feel strong, happy, and capable. If you can’t find the right words, you can write them out yourself! Step 4: Arrange Your Treasure Map Before you glue anything, lay out your pictures and words on your paper or poster board. Move them around until you like how it looks. This is your map, so you decide where everything should go! Step 5: Glue Your Dreams Once you’re happy with your layout, start gluing each piece in place. Be careful with the glue, and make sure each piece is secure. Step 6: Add Your Magic Now, take your markers or crayons and add anything else you want. You can draw, write your name, or add more words and doodles around your pictures. Step 7: Display Your Vision Board Find a special place to hang your vision board where you’ll see it every day. It could be by your bed, on the fridge, or near your desk. Seeing it will remind you of your goals and dreams. Step 8: Share Your Vision If you want, show your vision board to your family or friends. They can cheer you on and help you make your dreams come true. Remember, your vision board is all about YOU and what YOU dream. There’s no right or wrong way to make it. The most important part is to have fun and believe in your dreams. Happy creating! Please bring it to the next MBB to get your SCAPS points. |
